01:770, Issues in Educational Administration

This course was one of my favorite courses. Even though I have no thoughts or intentions of going into administration, it spoke to me as a teacher. It identified my leadership role, encouraged me to use my strengths and talents and to advocate for change if I saw need.

It broke down the building blocks of creating a system for teacher leadership. This system distributes leadership into the passions and interests of the teachers – which could be very powerful if done correctly.

I appreciated I had the flexibility to demonstrate my understanding of the material in my learning preference. I provided some example below.

My final project allowed me to think about where my interests/passion lie and how I could foster change. It allowed me to identify a very practical use for the content of this course and to think about what role I play in change.
