It is that time of year again! Time for the 8th Annual Lieutenant Governor s Winter Festival. The festival is a citywide celebration of culture through education, delicious cuisine and exciting entertainment in 13 different culture pavilions.

Be sure to check out the very popular returning pavilions: Colombia, Salvador, English, Ukrainian, Irish, Scottish, First Nations, Metis, French Canadian and Ethiopian as well as new pavilions for 2011, Brazil, Philippine and The Global Village.

All pavilions are open a minimum of 6pm to 11pm Thursday and Friday and from 1pm to 11pm on Saturday. Ethnic food, drink and souvenirs are available for purchase at each pavilion.

OPENING CEREMONIES ARE AT 6:00 PM SHARP! DOORS OPEN AT 5:00 PM. THE CEREMONIES ARE AT CITY HALL - 410 9TH STREET AND ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE. Your host this year will be the Colombia Pavilion. In attendance the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba - The Honourable Philip S. Lee, C.M., O.M.
